Mexico Elopement // Styled Shoot

It’s no surprise that we love Mexico! The craft food and beverage scene is what first captured our attentions, but the natural beauty of the land, beaches, and colorful cities have been an ongoing source of inspiration for our little So Cal hearts. One area that we hadn’t explored much was the most accessible one of all – Tijuana! Just 25 mins south from us there’s been a bustling revival in the arts district of TJ. Needless to say, we were thrilled when the beauties behind Luna Wild Design reached out to collaborate on a wedding shoot for LWP and their new One Bunk TJ property opening this May. Shooting this one made me want to do more elopements (the real ones :). Seriously, how fun would it be get married here? Oh and if you need vendors…look at this stellar team who helped make everything happen:

design + planning: Luna Wild Design
florals: Bloom Babes
venue: One Bunk Tijuana
hair + makeup: Veil Of Grace
paper goods: Odd Daughter Co
table top goodies: Hostess Haven

Micah + Cameron // Southern California Wedding

Well, it feels like we’ve been on a non-stop editing train since last fall! 40 weddings in 2016 was really a crazy experience but we met some amazing couples AND learned a ton about balance ha! It’s been ages since a blog update and there are just too many favorite weddings from 2016 we never had a chance to share. So rather than obsessing over imperfect timing and not posting anything at all, we’re throwing it back to this November darling day with Micah and Cameron! 1. Her two-piece is perfect. 2. It was actually like 90-something degrees but these two endured the heat to run around the orange groves and take some photos. 3. Micah + Cameron are the SWEETEST and were just genuinely excited to be with each other all day…pretty much the best.

Also, do people still read blogs…Or even scroll pictures? What do you want to see on here this 2017? More weddings? Engagements? Families? Parties? Photos of Frank? Chadwick’s musical mixes? Jenika’s recipes? Photo tips? Travel plans? Cryptic emo song lyrics for you to demystify and determine our current mood? Tell us! We’re ready to mix things up!

Ceri + Richard // Wales Wedding Part 1

It’s not every summer we get to make new international friends, shoot in what can only be described as a modern-day castle, and dance the night away along the Welsh countryside with 100 of our newest UK friends. This wedding was everything.

Honestly the best part of it all was getting to know Ceri and Richard. The year or so of Skype calls, email updates, and even good ol’fashioned snail mail, made us feel like instant friends when we finally met this September. These two are epic hosts and took it a step further and treated us like family from day 1. They took us to their favorite places (2 days before their wedding mind you), made sure we were always well-fed and even went to the trouble to make Chad and I some much needed coffee after our travels (need to get on our tea game :). They even gave us this beautiful cottage room at the insane Dewsall Court estate where they stayed with their families the weekend of the wedding and welcomed us in to the late night snooker games and whiskey chats.  And then the wedding…

One thing we instantly were drawn to about Ceri and Richard is their love of good food and good company. They transformed their entire wedding months before the day to be an intimate ceremony at the local chapel with just 20 of their nearest and dearest. They made it wholly their own (#1 piece of advice for those planning now, DO WHATEVER YOU WANT, it’s so much better that way!). They made time to wander the grounds together, to tell stories, to enjoy a long meal with just the wedding party and family, and they welcomed the whole crowd for an epic reception and celebration in the evening.

There is just too much to share in one post so we’re splitting it up today! Below you’ll find the morning of and ceremony. Mental vacay anyone? Enjoy. Oh and seriously add Wales to your list of must-visits next time you’re scheming to get out of town for real.
